Not a good chol hamoed trip for me today. What am I supposed to do in a place filled with frum girls? We were in a relatively empty spot for a bit, but then we went to the car to snack and I spent the whole time watching a girl play Frisbee. I couldn't stop. Then we went to a different spot which was more crowded and I stuck it out for a bit before pretending to get a phone call and walking somewhere else. Overall my eyes wandered a lot, and that one girl got the brunt of it. What am I supposed to do, not go on trips with my family? It's so frustrating. And there's three days of trips left.

Wowee

Brings back good memories when I told my parents on a trip, "I'm gonna sit out in the car" while they go to a triggering area

However with my trucking tools, today's chol hamoed trip which was just as triggering, was uneventful...

Gut Moed!

The three second rule has helped so far in some "low-risk" situations. Thanks. Now we'll see if it works in the big-time.

I'm trying to be unassuming siting here in the corner of my living room, and then you make me laugh out loud. Not nice Cordnoy.

Actually, the big-time would mean a crowded arcade, restaurant, or any frum attraction.

I thought my trip today would be difficult, but it worked out fine. I used the three second rule a lot, usually in less than that amount of time. There was one iffy situation, and as soon as I realized that I was close to losing control, I gathered myself and kept my eyes and thoughts elsewhere, mostly. Overall it was a good day, made possible by GYE.

I can't see without my glasses either but I don't have contacts. I've been thinking about getting because I don't really like the new style of glasses. Now I have another good reason...
