I don't know exactly what has caused my success. To tell you the truth, I'm surprised at the relative ease of my journey. I took a plunge with this 90 Day Chart, and when I started I didn't really have any idea how I was going to make it after struggling for so long. But it seems that really all I needed was A) get out of isolation and have a place to express my struggles and feelings, B ) get some validation that I'm not a bad person for struggling with this and by extension slowly getting past the shame, and C) learn some new attitudes and perspectives on how to approach these struggles as well as issues of lust and sex in general.
Iv'e written in this thread as well as in various posts around the forums about some of these perspectives that have helped me, and I hope to write more as I learn more. I just made a siyum and Part 1 of the GYE Handbook and began Part 2, so I still have a lot to read and learn. The Chizuk emails have also proved invaluable to me as really bring to the table a wide assortment of approaches with a different twist almost every day. Between the emails and the forums it also helps me retain my focus.
I pray to Hashem daily to help me continue on my journey!
