Hi Yankel, Welcome home! I really relate to you. From the way you have described your personality, we are the same. We also happen to share the same name. So glad to meet you!

Thanks Yaakov W. for the welcome and for the link to your introduction thread. I just read the First Step Post and I feel that well known "right-at-home" feeling with you already!

And it's really nice to see the rest of you as well!!

Had a swell night, KRISSH and tooth brushing were a grand success!!

Going to start a good day!

Thanks y'all!! It's really heartwarming to get all this!!

I'm not at home, and therefore haven't gotten around to looking at the 613 new replies that I have, not to mention the threads that I haven't even started looking at and the members that I haven't yet met. (Please do introduce yourself if you are active here and we haven't really had any contact)

Had a good day today, can't say there was no lust, but there was no acting out.

Going to KRISSH and get to bed, tomorrow is another today!! (now that's an insight if I ever had one )

613 new replies, LOL . I'd go crazy seeing that number. Makes me crazy I always have to clear it. But the fact that it's 613 is hasgacha also!

HI y'all!!

It's been a slow going over here. Not sure what my occupational plans are for this zman quite yet, and that leaves a lot of room for not such good things. And not such good things are very readily available to me at this point since I haven't yet filtered my new computer.

I don't want to filter it because I want to be able to access porn when the need arises. Also, I won't be able to download movies when it's filtered, and then I'll have so much free time on hands!! Also, the filter isn't the answer, it's the internal filter that I need to install........I don't want to need a filter !!!

Interesting! That last line is really where it's at, I don't want to need it, and if I do need the filter because I want to look at porn and the filter won't let me, then I really don't want it!

But this is that way Hashem made me, that I need a filter to stop me, and that's fine, isn't it?

Now, which filter to get....

Just stick a small note next to the screen that says "this computer is relying on your own inner filter" , and that would be your filter.

Is it that you need to want to need it? Or do you want to need to want it? Or perhaps you need to need to want it? Or maybe you want to want to want it?

Now I'm confused too. JDI & KOMT!!

tayire yankel,
welcome back. missed you. thought about you alot. asked around about you alot.
when i got your post in the emails, that you were back it put a huge smile on my face.

as far as the filter, why don't you put it on and then when you don't need it you can take it off. (perhaps when the computer breaks )

we ask every single day:
ואל תבאינו לידי נסיון
we must avoid every opportunity of facing a challenge
of course we want to build up enough strength to be able to face any challenges head on, but being in constant challenge is extremely dangarous
when going forward gets tough, its merely a sign that you are going uphill, just give more gas
put your sobriety first; before your wife, before your kids, before your avodas HaTorah (except for the 3 that are יעבור ואל יהרג) Without sobriety you won't have any of those things!

Thanks guys, the typing it out really did the trick, I just had to acknowledge what it was that was holding me back, after that I felt much more at ease about it.

I scheduled an installation with VCF for tomorrow afternoon, until then....
