Thanks HakolHevel! An excellent categorization.
One of my rebbeim once said that movies (it's true about all movies) are thinner than the screens we view them on. They have no life depth or meaning. The entire reality that they are trying to portray is completely fake. Scenes done over and over until they are perfect. Plot lines that are constructed by humans, special effects and actors pretending to be other people. (that may be a lot of their appeal) It took me a long time to internalize what that even meant.

Moe treats chani just like porn treats me.

Porn tells me, I'm here for you, i love you, I won't the best for you.

But just like in the story. moe is currently completely self obsessed and self centered. Chanie is making a big mistake (forget about religion and commitment for a moment) by getting involved woth him.

So to the porn industry and the actors dont give a hoot about us, all they care is to make money, even if it ruins our lives. We shouldnt get involved not just because it's a sin, its just a really bad idea period.

I agree.
I think Moe should have known better.
Also Chani Should have been more committed. Also, she should be more open with her husband and what she wants. I thought Chani was going to be loyal to her friend and tell Moe to get real with it. Also selfish.
Also if you look back in the story Chani watched sex drama. Soap operas and romance novels. Its not Porn, but it makes sex into a fantasy that doesn't exist. I don't know what is says there. But I am guessing it is not too far from porn.
Grant I am holding my breath, please I cant hold it it for too much longer for the next installment. LOL

I gave up secular novels because of this. Even ones that aren't triggering I realized were construing my knowledge of what real marriage is like.
And I was the guy who thought the Mashgiach was going overboard when he gave the shmuess against reading clean secular books...

Grant I love the story. When will you post the next chapter? I’m sure I’m not the only one that goes directly to this part of the forum to see if you updated.    Thank you for helping me realize my own flaws

I have been following this amazing story, but based on the last several posts, it seems like I missed some chapters. I didn’t see any new material. Is this story being sent via private message?

Think about how good you'll feel if you say no to desire and compare that to how bad you'll feel if you say yes.

Desire is unique in the way that it is never fulfilled -  if you give in the desire comes back even more powerful in just a few days. Telling yourself that its ok because this is really the last time doesn't work because you are just adding new images to your head that will cause future falls.

The Joy of triumph over the yetzer hara is worth the effort it takes to win. It IS worth it! Keep fighting!

Grant,

Last episode was March 7. Was that the last. Did Moe and Esther finally turn a new leaf and live happily ever after, as all Hollywood stories beautifully end?

If I may ask - What about your personal lust battle sir General. Is the war over?

Rabbi General Grant I (and I'm sure so many others) would love to see the story continue but that being said obviously we don't want to pressure you especially because that can be stressful so while we would love to see a continuation if its not possible we understand

Iyh there will be more chapters. For many reasons I wasn't able to do it yet. Sorry for the long wait!
I lost a 6 month streak. I will get back there. Not if, but when. When? Now.

Grant is back!
Thank you for continuing the series.

Somehow you have the ability to describe the emotions that are going on  in a surreal way.

For myself, one thing if I drag myself into garbage but I can't imagine causing such pain to another.

From what I understand that reason alone may not be enough rather there has to be something in me that wants to be clean........for me.

One who has given up hope is without a G‑d.

One who sees hope in each day is already free

This latest chapter is amazing! It expresses so well the pain of the wife, and at the same time the Rav's advice is PRICELESS, both to her - and to Moe.

I'm really looking forward to making an eBook out of this story when it's done, which I believe can help a lot of people one day!

Thank you Grant!

"Until he is done blaming his life on his circumstances". Ouch
as they say, lust was not the problem, it was the solution to ourbproblem, and unless we find a different solution we will keep heading back to that one.

Thank again Grant, wonderful piece!
