America is not systematically racist, nor are whites killing blacks on a regular basis (a Washington Post database found that blacks were responsible for over 75% percent of black deaths that resulted from violent crime), nor are the police systematically racist (19 unarmed whites were killed in 2019 compared to 9 unarmed blacks, according to the same database, which is especially noteworthy given the rate of crime amongst blacks). Read Heather MacDonald's "The War on Cops", or her recent op-ed "The Myth of American Systematic Racism" (in the WSJ) where she further debunks the lies and bullying spread by the left. But regardless, GYE is a recovery site for those struggling with pornography. It is not a place to make some leftist speech. If I'm wildly misinterpreting your post (which is entirely possible), then please let me know, and my sincere apologies. But if I'm not, then please realize that people come on to GYE for help with their struggles, not to have leftism and lies (which have no place in Yiddishkeit) thrown in their faces.

My apologies. Admittedly, I was not in the greatest of moods (to put it mildly) last night when I saw your post (I'd just had a very bad fall), and thus I wasn't thinking very clearly (again, to put it mildly). I interpreted "White lies matter" to mean "Lies told by the white people who say there is no systemic racism matter." Seems pathetic, but as someone who is politically active, let me assure you that there are actually people who say that. If I had been thinking clearly, it just might have occurred to me that the more likely meaning of the phrase (given the context) was "white lies (as in, actual "white lies") matter." But as you can probably tell, it didn't. Thus, my wild misinterpretation.

In Memoriam

With all the sadness and trauma going on in the world at the moment, it is worth reflecting on the death of a very important person, which almost went unnoticed last week. Larry LaPrise, the man who wrote "The Hokey Pokey", died peacefully at age 93. The most traumatic part for his family was getting him into the coffin.  They put his left leg in.  And then the trouble started.
