What is pushing you, how can you replace it or redirect that? personally I do not recommend talking to girls, especially if not Jewish

What pushes me is man’s innate longing for relationship and connection.
How to redirect it is by fostering healthy relationships.
Taiva as well plays a role so the eitza is gedarim.

Was 19 days clean.
Grown a lot, got back into enjoying davening and actually talking to GD and with a minyan for shachris.
Worked hard to use the rejections I've been getting to forward my Avoda, Emunah, and Bitachon.
Finally got a yes so b'ezras Hashem going on a first date for the first time at some point.
Fell on Friday and tonight though.
It doesn't pasul me and I won't go into depression. I will still do shachris with a minyan tomorrow. This doesn't define me.
A few days ago a lady came to me saying "here I have the perfect girl for you, here let me show you a picture." I paused for a moment and gathered the strength to say sorry not doing pictures but thank you.
Was hard but I'm proud of myself.

I've grown alot these last 20 days. Have been off whatsapp completely and off smartphone and I'm still alive.
I'm davening with kavana again, trying to have Bitachon and live with GD in my life.
Yes I just fell again but I will not allow myself to get back into the cycle of shame, self pity, further porn etc etc.

I was once almost engaged to a girl (was at the point of picking out a diamond) and then I found out that her family had been hiding from me a terrible and incurable genetic disease in her immediate family - after we had asked and checked.

this (beit Yaakov) girl and I had spoken about intimacy in an extremely inappropriate way for people who were not even engaged.

I had to break it off and it broke my heart. I’ve dated dozens of girls and her name is one of the few I usually remember. I had also found out around the same time I found out abt the genetic issue that she went through a tough traumatic experience.

in hindsight, I shudder at the thought of the trauma and other issues I would have had to overcome had I married her.

I eventually married someone else who was a much better match in every way - emotionally stable, non judgemental, etc.

Point of the story? It’s very hard but trust that Hashem has your best interests in mind and each girl you go out with brings you one step closer to your wife. You both need to reach a certain level in order to merit one another.
