Hi,
Inspired by the Yamim Noraim period, I finally made the decision to join GYE and make a more serious, concentrated effort to change.  I was thinking of finding an anonymous penpal with whom to share our experiences, ideas, etc. Ideally, I'd like to communicate with somebody similar to me - a knowledgable, intelligent and committed ben Torah, who had spent years in yeshiva and is now a devoted, hard-working family man with this dark side of which he is very ashamed, as it makes a terrible stain on an otherwise virtuous life of Torah, mitzvos and family.  I think building an online friendship around this subject can be useful.

Welcome to GYE.  Have your struggles and modes of acting out worsened over the years? Is your acting out interfering with your every day life?

Weleome!  Why settle for one pen pal.  There are a whole bunch of us on the forum.  You will probably identify more with some of us, and you may want to talk on the phone or even meet.  That may seem out of the question right now, but it happens all the time, and can be a very important part of recovery.  There is no pressure here.  Move at your own pace.  There is a lot to learn here.  Take a look at the handbook and some of the links in my signature.  Keep posting.
