My experience is that I am so desperate I need the 12 Steps. If it told me to do jumping jacks for an hour and that would keep me sober then I would need to do it. I was never bothered by the torah/12 steps questions. Horving about "am I powerless? What do you mean! Bechira! I'm a human, not an animal!" never kept me sober. Although I was part of a fellowship at one point that talked about it a lot.

i enjoyed the statement that when there's a sobriety will there's a way, and when not...

Anytime I listen to Cordnoy I hear Torah chizuk. The Cristian's didn't necessarily invent the 12 steps, they were possibly the ones that compiled it before the Jews
