Thank you for the offer. Nevertheless I'm not going to benefit from it.

Kosher Websites including GYE have recently become increasingly time-consuming for me (I seem to have tendency to addiction ), resulting  in tiredness (following other troubles) and missed Tefila betzibur davening times.

So my idea was to commit to the calendar to keep me away from computers altogether after shut-down time, according to the rules.

BTW, I had to pay knas for my last fall, received credit card bill on Motze Shabes. Annoying! For next time: Think first...

My commitment ended last Wednesday, Tanis Ester. I'm renewing it starting from tomorrow Thursday until R"Ch Iyar.

Shut-down-time: 10.30 pm (local time, of course), Motze Shabes: 2 hours after zman.

I assume there is no problem being logged in before "bedtime" to finish a task for another 5/10 minutes.

There's no problem going past the good night time - we are not monitoring your computer or the balabos of your life

but if you commit to this calendar, it doesn't really make a difference if you are logging on after the device sleep time, or are allowing it to continue from a few minutes before.

If you share why you'd like an exception each night, that's fine.

I did not understand it that way, so I admit I overtimed once for 2 minutes or so in order to finish a payment for the next day.

I assumed it to be so, but based on the rules that existed 5 min ago you were correct and are patur midinei shamayim too

I changed the criteria on pg 1 to include continuing after the logoff time.
SG and Yesod you agree too?

(Sorry yesod )Just want to reiterate, that if one has a legit reason for staying online a little late (like paying your bill that's due) he just needs to post it and ask the panel (who's that? ) if it's ok. If it's legit then the oilem will say that it's fine, but at least someone knows that you're online and will ask you about it in the morning.
