Phone Partner Program

By obormottel
The GYE phone partner program had a huge impact on my life. I kept falling but I wasn't sure what to do about it and just kept trying to pick myself up by doing the same thing as always: getting back into learning and mussar. Thanks to the accountability I had with my...

90 Day Insights

By obormottel
1. It´s my second time reaching 90. I fell pretty hard about a month after reaching my first 90 days. I learned that I can't let my guard down. I must watch for the ¨I´ll never fall again¨ thoughts. 2. Although it´s a huge milestone, it´s really only a number. Nothing...

Overcoming Challenges

By obormottel
I was at a chasuna recently, and the mechitza was no good; so much so, that when I was walking into the hall, I couldn't figure out where the men's section was... But then, every time I had to leave, I left with my eyes studying the floor. I couldn't have felt better ab...

I really appreciate all that GYEdoes, and I can't thank you enough for helping me find a sponsor with whom I speak at least 3 times a week. I still log on to the site every once in a while, and it's extremely helpful. Thanks for all your work. Aaron

Yiddish Site Accolades

By obormottel
GYE saved my life, my children, and my upcoming דורות. My first language is not English, so I signed also up on the Yiddish forum. There, I found a rabbi who understands people very well, and he opened the world to me. B"H, I'm growing and growing, so I wanna thank you a...

I am not "on board" anymore because, BH, I don't have Internet access anymore. But the sobriety I picked up while on board stayed with me. I am working the program and enjoying recovery one day at a time. I appreciate GYE. It saved me from hitting lower bottoms... Seeing ads about GYE over the years brought me to its doors when I truly needed it, and would've been completely lost otherwise. Is there anything I can do to give back to GYE and its community, something that doesn't require Internet access? Thanks! Yiddishemomy

GYE has been of great assistance to me in my journey to free myself from pornography, and I could not be more pleased with the site as a whole. I have told some of my friends about the site. Todah rabah! Nehemiya

Thanks for reaching out to me! I use the calendar on my "kosher" phone. Your site is extremely helpful, and I have been working with Duvid Chaim that you have referred me to him. Talking of him, there are no words that can be used in an email about how wonderful he was in changing around my life in 360 degrees. Keep up your great work! Klal Yisroel really needs it like never before. Thanks, Avrumy G

I'm sitting on the bus, dealing with some unforeseen challenge to shmirat einayim, and I decided to click in to GYE - that focused me in a totally different direction. After several high quality articles, the daily chizuk, the shmirat einayim stories, great piece in He...

Fell on My Face. Can't Get Too Cozy!

By obormottel
After being sober for almost a year and just falling recently again, I want to share what I think the main point in our struggle is. I have no doubt that one of the main reasons I fell is because I got comfortable in this struggle. Not only did I get comfortable, I WAN...

My Strategy

By obormottel
Two things in the email #1485 I liked very much, and they hit a resonant chord in my neshama. One was the graphic, '4 steps in responding to a porn tease': Get out of the situation. This is one of the strategies that I took upon myself, (even though I was not always suc...

Physical Pain

By obormottel

How I reached 90 days

By obormottel
I had been falling at least three times a week, so it was surely a struggle. I took the 90 days in steps, committing to what I thought I could manage - 10 days at a time. Clicking "still clean" gave me a small feeling of control that I relished, so regularly updating my c...

Another 90 day victory

I've just completed my journey of 90 days and I feel exhilarated! I've been on the chart in the past and had 3-4 falls. But 90 days ago, I knew that if I don't kick this thing NOW, I'll never get there. I'll be a slave to lust forever, chas v'shalom. One of my biggest fe...
