I could write for hours about my background. But my story sums up fairly easily. I messed around a LOT in my teenage years with Internet addiction, sex, and a handful of other massively self destructive activities I used to call "fun". 

But, by an absolute miracle from Hashem, I somehow ended up in a Yeshiva in Israel. Through the help of incredible rebbeim, friends that I could connect with, and of course a hand from the One Above, I turned my life around. I guess I'd fit in the stereotypical category of "flip out". But what most people don't realize is how it's not a flip at all, rather the success image of an extremely slow and intense process of change through two years of intensly fighting for self improvement. 

Now, finishing my last year in Yeshiva and putting a massive focus on Shmiras Habris/Eynayim, I'm feeling the backlash, begging myself to change and tirelessly struggling through it. Girls, Shabbos, Kosher, Tefilah, Learning, Respecting others...I built myself up from so low in so many ways. But it seems as hard as I try, no matter how much I cry out and Daven for help, I can't stay away from the Internet or self pleasure. It doesn't really help that I'm extremely good with technology and can get around any filter out there. But my goal is to filter ME, not the devices I have access to (I DO however have filters on all my internet capable devices and a friend has the codes, unfortunately I quickly got around all of them). 

I am determined to call myself 90 days clean by the end of this year and I really REALLY want to be there. I hope this forum and its services will help me along my journey.  I've tried so many options, nothing has worked. So here's yet another attempt at saving myself.

Welcome! We have come to a good place as many people have been helped here. I strongly recommend reading the GYE Handbook and participating in the forums. Breaking out of the isolation of the struggle is a more powerful tool than you may realize.
