Hi fellow Yidden-- I live in Israel and was doing well since Elul but lately have fallen repeatedly. I'm very frustrated at myself. I have an understanding, awesome wife, and a therapist. But I am thinking that perhaps if I had another person I could talk to, for chizuk and understanding, I could finally defeat this.I feel I was getting close. I am in my 40s, married, educated BT, and a recent oleh. I have tried a phone friend once before and it was kinda awkward (nothing to do with him, the awkwardness was in me!), so I gave up. But I would like to try again.....so if you are of similar background and live in Israel, pls contact me. Thanks.

Hey if it's phone, why are you limiting yourself to partner in Israel. You can find some great partners outside of Israel too, unless you also may want to meet him? Which usually is a good thing

Welcome! How it sounds like you have some things in place already. What does your therapist recommend? Can you tell us more about your journey? Have you considered joining one of the 12 step phone calls,or joining a real 12 step group?
