Although I heard this line from my rebbi regarding being on an airplane before (and after) Bein Hazmanim, (in that a person should know himself and whichever level he's holding by, so that he should make up to himself to either watch "only clean movies", or to learn the whole flight through and anywhere in between- but, if he's not holding by learning straight through, to not get jealous of the guy who is, because Hashem only wants us to be "OUR OWN PERFECT"- not "SOMEONE ELSE'S PERFECT", and if "my perfect" is to not watch anything, and to learn just a little bit here and there- that is "my own perfect", and there can be nothing better than that), I feel very strongly that it applies to every aspect of being an Oived Hashem, and here's my recent application...

So there I was, finishing the summer zman of 5777/2017, and I mentioned to my rebbi that I really felt that this coming Bein Hazmanim would be my best yet, even though I had said that before the previous Bein Hazmanim, to which he answered that it was probably true for the past, and also for the coming.
One of the main reasons why I truly felt that THIS was gonna be my best yet was because, unlike all the other times, this time I had been religiously (in both aspects) keeping up with GYE, especially the daily emails, and I felt that I was really prepared more than ever before (which I was). Based on that,I was hoping to have a "perfect Bein Hazmanim"- one without any falls.
I got home on a Sunday evening, B"H immediately put a filter on one of the computers in my house, had my mother lock her phone (to just make it a lot simpler for me and her), tried putting a filter on the other computer but it didn't go through. Even so, the first few days passed with very little lust (which I didn't fall to, B"H), but then, Wednesday night I had a fall. After I fell, a thought went through my head, saying "there goes your "Perfect Bein Hazmanim", and I was more down about that than the actual fall (which I accepted as being in the past).
Mamesh right after that, Hashem reminded of that line, "be your own perfect", and I stopped and thought to myself, "by every other Bein Hazmanim, it didn't even take one day for me to fall- and here I had gone clean for nearly days!!!! So, for me, this Bein Hazmanim has truly been better than ever- because I only did what Hashem wanted from me- to be 'my own perfect'".
Not only did it help then, but even later in Bein Hazmanim, when the thought of "it isn't a perfectly clean Bein Hazmanim anyway, so take another hit" entered my mind, it was much easier to shut it down.

So, like I said, I firmly believe that this can be applied to any circumstance in life, so please go ahead and apply it, and also, let me know how else it can used.

Bump.
Great post.
This really deserves to be bumped up every day, but that would get too expensive for the airlines.
