Hi Kedusha! Sorry for being late to the party. MAZAL TOV! I always like to see your milestones since I am a bit behind you. I am ahead of you in posts though . I consider June 8, 2009 my sobriety date. That is the day my wife caught me, and I started this wonderful journey (although initially, a very painful one).

Thank you, Gibbor!

We should all continue to match and surpass our previous milestones, b'Ezras Hashem!

The next two milestones I'm aiming for, with the help of HKB"H, are 2,000 days clean (November 8, 2014, be"H), and 3,000 posts on the GYE forum!

As for now: One day at a time!

B'Ezras Hashem, as of midnight tonight, I will be 2,000 days clean (because it will be Shabbos, I am posting now). I asked my wife to pick up an extra treat for Shabbos, although I didn't have a chance to tell her why.

I am deeply grateful to the RBS"O, to Guard, and to the entire GYE Chevrah, for helping me get to this point, and Daven that I not only continue to stay clean, ad meah v'esrim, but continue to grow in all areas of Avodas Hashem.

With my Tefilos that the entire Chevrah have Bracha and Hatzlacha in this area, and in all areas of Ruchniyus and Gashmiyus.

A wonderful Shabbos to all!

Thank you, dear Chaveirim.

Boruch Hashem, I reached the 2,000-day milestone today. It was especially meaningful, because we read today about how Hashem tested Avraham. We are tested all the time in this generation, which gives us so many opportunities to grow spiritually (of course, we need to be smart, and avoid tests as much as possible; indeed, we Daven every day that Hashem should not test us).

I recognize that, as has been said before, the main thing is not counting the days, but making our days count. Still, I find that counting my consecutive days clean gives me strong motivation to keep going. Indeed, it's very encouraging to break my personal record every single day! I just need to remember to take things one day at a time.

Rabbi Reisman recently gave a Shiur in which he discussed the importance of setting goals. He emphasized that, equally important, is setting new goals whenever we achieve our previous goal. In that spirit, my next goal, b'Ezras Hashem, is to be 6 years clean this coming Lag Ba'Omer (my actual anniversary date is May 18, which fell on Lag Ba'Omer this year; I spoke with Guard that day, and he agreed with my suggestion that, be"H, Lag Ba'Omer would be my anniversary date in the future).

Tomorrow, be"H, I will reach 2,014 days clean in 2014!

For the secular calendar, that will, hopefully, be a once-in-a-lifetime achievement. For the Jewish calendar, I hope, be"H, to get there as well, but it's more than a decade away!

A wonderful Shabbos to all!
