Feeling like I'm started to get back on track

Have a great shabbos everyone!

Day 7

BH I stayed clean today. Came very close to masturbating, but managed to stop myself and hold back just before I did. Not so sure what was different today, but very thankful Hashem gave me the strength today to overcome.

Glad to have a week clean after my belt, haven't been clean for this long in around 3 weeks

MAZAL TOV! Keep it up!!

Try to see if there's a pattern to when you feel the urges. Once you find it it should make things a little easier because then all you have to do is plan what to do if you're in that situation/feeling that way.

At least for me, it's like an injury that aches in the background, and may flare up occasionally but if you don't touch it it will fade away. You're doing it so far!

Day 8
Clean day bH. Had a similar urge today as well, similar to yesterday. I was in the bathroom ready to act out, but I didn't again. Also still have somewhat of an urge right now.

I found it weird that I didn't feel much simcha even through I didn't masturbate. I guess I'm prepared to be disappointed for when I fail, even though I didn't in the end, and I get this weird mix of emotions

Its always tough when that happens. But you are still very much in the race. Like they say, the difference between a tzadik and a rasha is that a rasha fails and keeps on failing without trying to stop failing. But a tzadik is someone that fails, gets back up, and tries again no matter how many times it takes. So in my opinion at least, you are one of the biggest tzadikkim on this site! Don't give up. All of us are looking up to you to try again.

It's tough when we misbehave. It's even tougher to break out of the cycle. But you are somebody who saw the light and grasped freedom in your very hands. Gather your strength and get back in the game. You know you can do it. וחזקתה והייתה לאיש!
