I just checked this stat. I have an average of 4.487 posts per day. Considering I don't roll post on Shabbos, that's really closer to 5.25 posts per posting day.

I think I spend too much time on this site.

Here's to another "hiatus" that'll inevitably be cut short.
Buh bye.

At this rate, in just another seven years you'll be the next cordnoy!
It took a lot of trying, succeeding, failing, succeeding some more, failing some more, finding "substitute addictions", letting go of them, finding them again, losing my mind a couple of times, etc. etc. b''h I'm alive and happy, but I still have my work cut out for me.

Why is my gender showing as female next to my posts? I try editing my profile and it says I'm male there...

Weird.

edit: this seems to specifically happen on the "recent posts" page

So I'm a new groucher here.

I would love to say how much fun I was having reading through 31 pages of grouching but that would be against the rules.

Here's my grouch for today.
I wanted to ask my boss for a raise but I knew he wouldn't do it willingly. So I told him that I would like to take on extra responsibilities.
His response was, instead of asking for more responsibilities, how about actually accomplishing the things you are responsible for now!
He also managed to avoid swearing at me, barely!

Needless to say, there was no raise!!!!

The system probably detected you're a cat lady female based on your avatar image.

We're working on sending people to live on Mars.
Meanwhile, automatic toilets still can't tell the difference between 'there is a human sitting here' and ' there is no longer a human sitting here - que Niagara Falls'
Maybe the toilets on Mars will be better.

So, this past Monday my wife gave it to me yet again (albeit stronger than in the past) that I’ve been getting home too late from work for far too long, and I must stand up to my boss and tell him that I really must finish working at 6:00, or even 6:15. I heard her out, and assured her that I’d do just that the following day. And so, the next morning, when I see my boss I told him, and he said “we’re going on a trip today, but if it works out well, it shouldn’t be an issue”. Shoyn. I left it in Hashems hands to line everything up. (I even told my wife, giving her an hours-long heads up, with I thought was pretty generous.)
Turns out, Hakadosh Baruch Hu had different plans. Due to something completely out of our control, (long story short, the wrong part was delivered,) we were set back many hours. I ended up getting home at around 11:15 pm. (FYI, I left my house at 9:30 am.)
To say my wife was fuming would be putting it lightly. (Furious? Maybe. You get the idea.) And I got her points. Something along the lines of “the DAY after you promise me you’ll stand up to your, THIS happens????” What infuriated her even more was that I didn’t accept blame- for something that was in Heaven’s hands.
She kept it going until after 2:00, at which point I dozed off (can you blame me?), and of course, that was when she decided to throw me a couple of compliments. Sheesh. Few minutes later, the baby wakes up! (But of course.) I end up getting to sleep after 3:00. And I wasn’t even out of the doghouse until late the following morning. (Barely even started work late).
