Think about how good you'll feel if you say no to desire and compare that to how bad you'll feel if you say yes.

Desire is unique in the way that it is never fulfilled -  if you give in the desire comes back even more powerful in just a few days. Telling yourself that its ok because this is really the last time doesn't work because you are just adding new images to your head that will cause future falls.

The Joy of triumph over the yetzer hara is worth the effort it takes to win. It IS worth it! Keep fighting!

I don't know if anyone mentioned this, but I am, hands-down, the most outstanding conductor of all time.

I mean, you should see me lead orchestras through symphonies, concertos, and operas (Nu! Kol Isha! Only the overtures...). I've conducted everything from the soft The Lark Ascending to the thunderous climax of Tchaikovsky's fifth (and the barely audible, despairing ending of his sixth).

(I do Jewish music too, but it's not the same...)

And get this, all this is done from my desk at work or behind the steering wheel.

It's gotta be quite a show to sit beside me in traffic. (Or to be my workmate.)
We get only one chance at life.
This is not a rehearsal; it's the real thing.

Father, help me live sober Today.

Has anyone ever walked out of shul with the siddur they just used to daven? Or the sefer they just used to learn from?

I had a whole buncha Bachurim by me for a Seuda, and I start a Zemer they join in with weird looks on their faces as I realize that I am singing a Shabbos day Zemer on Friday night...

I usually Daven Nusach Sefard. I was at an Ashkenaz minyan the other night for Maariv, and right after Kaddish Tiskabel I started saying Oleinu out loud. Then I heard the Chazan start the Bracha for Sefiras Haomer....

I was once at a minyan during עשי"ת and the chazzan forgot to say המלך הקדוש. Nobody corrected him right away so he had to start again from the beginning and everyone said Kedusha a second time.

Realizing that Friday night during shmouna esra of maariv, someone hit you in the chest twice, then you reminded that you by mistake said סלח לנו at a Friday night maariv

You may see a low number of clean days, but don't forget to add 700 days to it, YES! you're reading it well, Seven Hundred plus  amount of days

To combat this, I always  randomly hit my chest- before, during and after davening…

When an acquaintance walks into the room and says "Hey, how you doing" and I promptly respond "B"H fine and you", he says "what are you up to these days" and I say "you know - same old...blah blah blah..." and he motions to me to shut up already because he's on a call with an airpod stuck in his ear and wasn't talking to me...

Shout out to my good friend, Yitz23.
I don’t know about you guys, but I find those few seconds of walking (especially on shabbos), when I see someone approaching and I don’t know at which point to wish them a “gut shabbos” exceedingly awkward. Like, I check my watch numerous times, even though I just did the exact same thing for the last guy… oysh.
