**OBSOLETE POSTS**

Many times a thought out well written submitted post results with a blank page and all the writing was lost

This happened many times to me, when someone else and myself hit 'reply' to a post simultaneously, but he hits 'submit' before me

His post is posted and mine results with a blank page

Cordnoy has had that issue often, and I'm sure many others suffered from it as I have

My idea was perhaps if replies are automatically set as "reply topic" and not "reply post", then no obsolete pages result

I have experienced that in the past.

Whats about having drafts?
Sometimes we are holding in middle of writing a long post and woops we have to close the window and we loose everything.
something similar to that we have in Gmail.

You mean you lost the post? Why did it ask you to log in again? Perhaps the session lifetime expired. I think it used to be 15 minutes, I asked them to increase it now to 30 min. (They claim they don't want to increase it more for security reasons). But does this happen often?
