People have been posting about some technical difficulties they are experiencing on this site.

How about we put them here in this thread instead of in other people's threads?

So far we have:

1) People aren't getting email updates to threads they are subscribed to.

2) There are SMTP errors that show up at the top of the page after posting to a thread.

SMTP stands for Simple Mail Transfer Protocol. It has to do with how messages are sent and received across the internet.

As I wrote in the "Regarding the web site" thread, I strongly believe that the GYE site needs an entire section devoted to discussions about the website -- with room for threads not just on technical issues, but on general issues as well.

PM's that I receive are messed up. I got a message that was actually spilling out of the message box at the end of one line, and then the next line started in the middle of a phrase, with a bunch of text missing in between.  I was able to read it by copying the message and pasting it somewhere else or by clicking reply and reading the copy of it in the bottom of the reply box.  Has this been discussed already? Or is it just my computer?

Issue with chat that i have often: I'm in middle of a chat with someone, I hear a bloop but there's no new message. But if I open the chat history i can see the missing message.

Another issue with mobile chat. When I click into the main public chat, my phone bloops even if the switch on the side of the phone is set to silent mode. That can be a problem if I'm in a place where I don't want people to know that I'm using my phone. 

Phone is an iPhone 6. I use mobicip browser for the chat. In k9 browser the chat hangs and is basically unusable. (I have Safari blocked)

I find the phantom bloops to be worse when there's another page of the site loading.
