You guys are making me feel like you're in my dining room, shmoozing and drinking beer on the couch, and I'm not even part of the conversation! I have a funny suggestion, and I ask nobody to take offense (Uh, oh. something offensive is coming...) but the way I see it is that a thread is a person's way of recording his journey, with pointers for the oilam and from the oilam. When the conversation goes to a different direction entirely why not take that conversation someplace else? Just a suggestion, nobody has to agree with me...

And now for some painful posting. BH I'm doing fine, but some revelations are painful. Some are great, though. This is my journey of self-discovery, and I'd like to share with you, my dear brothers, some of the things I've discovered. I will try my best to keep my language refined, as all Yidden should do. But some of the things mentioned are really only for married guys. Please.
So, I had a shmooze with my....wife. My dear rebbe, HHM, told me to. I listened. And I was in for some surprises, some not so pleasant. To give you some background, I wrote in my first post that I am happily married for 10+ years, which BH I am. I also wrote that that includes my intimate life, adding that my wife would say the same. Uh, not terrible, but not quite.
So here's what I did. I had a conversation, I told my wife that we would be absolutely honest and open. Right at the outset my wife blew me out of the water. I, and probably you, too, my dear friends, have been unequivocally hood-winked. Fooled. Duped. We are under the impression, from all we've seen and read, that we must get them to climax. And if we don't get them to, we are losers. We've all seen so much to this effect it needs no proof. And I discovered that it's false. flase. false. It something nice, yes. Is it something they enjoy? Sometimes. Something they need in order to feel the enjoyment of intimacy? Totally not. I'm embarrassed to say it, but my wife of 10+ years told me that it's a pressure she feels, because she got the feeling that if I don't get her there then I feel like I didn't do my job (she was right on about that) so she would try to get there FOR ME. Stupid does not begin to describe what I felt. All these years she has been doing it for me? What?! Guys, take a deep breath and admit it. I hate to say it but we have been fooled by a billion-dollar industry to believe that this is what they enjoy. I asked my wife, and this is what I got. She actually told me that her Kalla teacher taught her as a matter of fact that men enjoy the climax, while women work differently. I could not believe that I'm married these many years and I had no idea. I just believed all the garbage that I never should have seen. I'm still in shock, but these are the facts, my friends. We have created so much pressure for ourselves and our wives, we have digested and accepted all the garbage out there. It is just that. Garbage. Talk to your wife, in an honest way. Not in the bedroom. During the day only. No pressure at all. See what she says. Maybe some women do need it, I don't know. Although I doubt it. I do know that I did not believe I would hear what I heard. This happened yesterday. My friends, I repeat. We've been duped. We can all relax, stop pressuring yourself to get her there, and stop pressuring her! Stop pressuring her! There's is simply no need... She did it for me! I can't get over that part.....
More revelations to come....

Kudos, @eerie. BH, my wife told me that a long time ago. She just wants the closeness and love and affection and gentle, loving attention. If it happens, it’s nice but for us to give our wives that pressure that if they are not getting there they are failing US, is wrong thinking.

dear Gesmak! some people have different ways of expressing humor, and Markz has his. He was referring to your comment about KOMT, and he's telling you, jokingly, to ask HHM to help you with it. It means Keep On Monster Trucking, by the way. Now go prepare shiur, Geshmak! And don't forget to keep posting, your words are full of chizuk for me and all of us. In the future if you have trouble understanding  Markz just PM me and I'll do my best:)

I understand it totally I believe, although I am still a bochur, I have heard this very recently, it is sad that we have been so influenced by the world of money that decided to do such a thing. Anyways back to your point, I think it can be very beneficial if bochurim do hear about this, specificially referinng to the ones that have seen way to much for way too long, because I personally feel that I don't know if I would automaticially be 100% on page a day of a chusen talk this may need to be said before hand. But to my dismay there are lots of rebbeim that would disagree, because it may affect a bochur now just hearing about ti and may think on it etc. So I don't know if someone can help cluur my mind a bit, I don't think it should just be a secret to Baal Baatim/avreichim people, I think also bochurim that have been exposed.

What does the oilam feel?
To my dear friend reading this:
You are an incredible yid for just being on this site, I am breath taken after each post or new person that comes on and shares a bit about himself, keep it up. You guys are mamash matzlichim in your own ways of growth and Hashem is proud of each one of you! (that includes me too) lol.

KEEP UP YOUR TREMENDOUS UPLIFTING IN THE AVODAH OF EMES!!

Thanks for reading! Stay shtark, I am also being challenged, just build your confidence, never quit no matter what, you are your strongest enemy and yet you are your strongest savior so you choose, I am not saying it's easy but am saying it's possible just takes effort and work!!

I think even for us Bochurim, it's only really useful knowldege when it's practical, D'hayu when we're BE"H engaged. But it is critical that you inform your Chosson teacher that you have been exposed to porn, because unfortunately there's usually lots of damage to undo

Hey,Sapy! I like that one, it wasa not what I had in mind when I signed up for GYE, but it is more true then what I was thinking. Because being here really woke me up! And really guys, I get a mazal tov...it's been a few months since I signed up, but today is a week since my first post! And what a wild week it has been....I never thought I would post, I started off just signing in, then once in a while reading other people's posts, but I should post?! Never! I was mortified at the thought of it. To speak to someone?! Are you nuts?! Well, my dearest friends, dearest brothers who have been with me for just this one week of my journey, I don't know why I did it, and I don't know how I did it. But boy am I glad that I did it! There was nothing particular going on, but I guess I just burst from keeping my struggles to myself for so long. I took stock this morning and I realized that I am calmer, happier, more confident, and even in just one week my marriage improved. I know I have a long way to go in all those things, but I feel better then I have in ages. I came into my house this morning after Shachris, I was in such a happy mood! I kissed and hugged every one of my kids, with a hearty good morning. The world is so much brighter! Brothers of mine, it's just so great to be alive! I have no words to thank the people who have commented, encouraged, reached out, and for the person who gave his time almost every day this week to listen, feel me, understand me, direct me, and to give me a telephone hug. Me, my children, my wife, my future generations, we all say thank you.

If i had told my chussen rabbi to what i was exposed to, he at first wouldn't believe me, then wouldn't understand what im tiling about, and if i had explained it to him, he would've died right there and then from a stroke or heart attack.
So make sure to find the right kind of teacher......

Dear emes-a-yid, yes, you've been exposed to way too much, as have I. And yes, before you get married and build a beautiful Yiddishe home with Torah values dictating your life, you should find the right teacher that can teach you what is real and where you've been fooled. Because we all know that we've been fooled, can real life ever be like in the movies? But like jack the jew says, there ain't no tachlis in you getting into the details now. Yes, undoing damage takes time and hard work. And that's what you're doing by being here! But as to the particulars of married life I would think that once you're engaged you can get to work on it. Keep it up, my friend! You are an inspiration to me! You are holding up the world
