A dear friend, one who is a real ben Torah, and also has a real YH, shared a little story, one he's not so proud of, but I think has a point we could all remember
He was in a place where he saw a woman who was dressed in an extremely provocative way, and he was very triggered. He struck up a conversation with the woman, shmoozed for a few minutes, and then he told her "You know, you are really beautiful". The woman shut down immediately and left
It was such an eye-opener for him. Here he was thinking who knows what, and this woman, as provocatively as she was dressed, was not interested at all in being perceived as a sex object. Us men have this one-track-mindedness, while she was so turned off from his comment about how pretty she is.
And it's many times that way. If we could only stop and think "That woman that I'm triggered by, if she would know what I'm thinking, what would she feel and think?". Possibly she'd feel like calling the cops.
That might help us get a reality check
I have always wondered, if those women would know what men are thinking of them when dressed that way, would they still dress like that?
