Welcome.

Great question!

For accountability Webchaver. I use it, and it really works!

I'll just add one thing and that's that you need to get a filter manager/ally who will hold you accountable, understands the depth of the struggle, and wants you to break free in order for the suggested filters to work. Otherwise although the free filters listed are nice suggestions, they will be more or less be useless.

Check out my signature for a brief idea of the free filters. As already mentioned, webchaver (covenanteyes) is really good, and you can get it for free if you check out the thread.

Even if you already have a filter, these are necessary additions because
they fix many loopholes that exist with paid filters (speaking from firsthand
experience) and because they add priceless accountability features.

If you have trouble filtering a shared device, then see the post for how
to get these filters discreetly, without any other users' knowledge whatsoever
and without the filters affecting the other users of the device at all.

Allow me to disagree (feel free to disagree and not allow me to disagree )

What I am going to say is my experience so I cannot say what works for anybody else, However it will give you a different glimpse into how the whole accountability system works.
I have Webchaver accountability which helps me tremendously and I am also an accountability partner for somebody else.
You say “you need to get a filter manager/ally who will hold you accountable

The friend on GYE that Im a partner for, I made it out very clearly that I am not going to be holding him accountable at all, rather the set up is is simply based on the fact that he is aware that I am able to track his movement online and that is what can help him - that’s the level of accountability that he has from me.“understands the depth of the struggle, and wants you to break free

Absolutely not true - not necessary!

Because an accountability partners job is not to hold you against a certain standard for accountability rather it’s the simple fact of working in the open public with the knowledge that somebody else is with you on every website that you visit.

Again that is my experience, feel free to share yours

When I meant someone who will hold you accountable, I meant in terms of the filters, not webchaver. I used those filters and I still use those filters, but I was able to ask my previous filter manager to disable the filter and change around the settings when I wanted, so I was referring to that as "holding you accountable" and that the filter manager should not allow you to do that and that he would apply any necessary changes to the filter settings himself and only after he understands and sees what those changes mean. My mom was my previous filter manager and even after I told her about the struggle, she would still let me play around with the settings and turn the filter off when I asked, and this is why I said you should get someone you understands the depth of the struggle because I don't think she understood and that that's why she allowed me to play with the filter settings.

So your mom was not the right fit, have you found the right person to be your filter manager?

Check out Qustudio also, but I have to give a heads up that I'm not familiar with it all and I don't know whether it's really reliable or not, in terms of loopholes. They offer a free version of their service.
