Ok - Back to my thread thx everyone
I struggled the other night accessing twitter from a travel app we downloaded on my phone specifically for an upcoming trip. Of course it starts innocent enuf - i was just listening to the game as I fell asleep, but the thrill of "hunting stuff down" (on twitter) was too much for me and I succumbed. [Maybe some of you know this feeling]. The app has now been deleted. [Of course i shud reach out to people before I do these things, but I did not.] I worried about hypocrisy (my wife has mentioned this a few times) bec. since I am on the brink of getting Smicha, I go out and give drashos, shiurim, etc. in communities. And yet I am mistakel b'ervah mamash from time to time. I know the spiritual effect it has on me. I feel bad, but that doesn't stop me. take care. |
