“When you wake up in the morning, Pooh," said Piglet at last, "what's the first thing you say to yourself?"

"What's for breakfast?" said Pooh. "What do you say, Piglet?"

"I say, I wonder what's going to happen exciting today?" said Piglet.

Pooh nodded thoughtfully. "It's the same thing," he said.”

“Rabbit's clever," said Pooh thoughtfully.
"Yes," said Piglet, "Rabbit's clever."
"And he has Brain."
"Yes," said Piglet, "Rabbit has Brain."
There was a long silence.
"I suppose," said Pooh, "that that's why he never understands anything.”

There is a great piece in Tiferes Shlomo this week, on the pasuk והוצאתי אתכם מתחת סבלות מצרים.
He explains the lashon of 'sivlos', which can be understood as 'tolerance, patience, acceptance', like savlanut. He says the prime merit the yidden had in Mitzrayim with which they were zocheh to geula was their savlanus, their acceptance of what they get in life. they did not get angry at HKBH or feel that THEY deserve better.

That's Fred and Barney, and yes, I do find Wilma and Betty to be mildly triggering in those short skirts with slits. I was referring to Fred and Jim from the Big Book of Alcoholics Anonymous which you might have heard of.
The Blind Beggar is a character in Rebbe Nachman's story of the Seven Beggars.
If I view a woman as an object, I am powerless over lust, but I don't have to look.
I can guard my eyes.
I want to guard my eyes.
I do guard my eyes.
Why do I say these four lines?

The only ZS approved BIG BOOK in this thread is a large print edition of Zemiros Shabbos, which you might have heard of...
