Had my first almost slip today. I searched something that would probably be inappropriate, but I x'ed out of it as it loaded so I didn't see anything bad.
Just wondering,
It makes it easier for me to be clean if I post about myself. Is that an issue? Just wondering if I seem obsessed with myself or if this is alright?

It bothers you and its our pleasure to hear you out and show support. We all need emotional support just as much as good advice.
If you need a shoulder to lean on, speak your heart out.
That's what we are here for.
If every time we post we wonder if:
- we're being a bit of a pest
- we don't sound so intelligent
- maybe we shouldn't share certain things because we only want to sound successful

Then we are doing a disservice to ourselves and the forum as a whole.

Are you holding by GYE's definitions of slips and falls? Tempting as it may be to be overly stringent, it could also eventually counterproductive.

I am evaluating falls differently. Because I struggle with trying to find things to search for that inadvertently show things that are inappropriate, I define for myself a fall as a search that showed me something inappropriate if i was looking for that inadvertent slip.

Gut voch. Its been a long shabbos and I came home from maariv and my wife was already sleeping. After waking her up and making havdala, she went right back to sleep. I was disappointed and felt like acting out, however I am just posting here instead.

I just saw the article on npr about xxxchurch. Its so sad that so many of the comments are so negative. Well I guess its not my problem. Additionally, jewish or not, we're talking about an addiction here, not a hobby. It gives me a lot of chizuk that everybody here understands that its an issue. I feel the support. Thanks everybody out there. We are all suffering from a need that, nebach, is filled with pornography. Imagine if we could get that feeling without porn, we would do it in a second.
