Your worst enemy here is depondency and agitation. Your best friend is trusting in Hashem. An excersize that I do when I am feeling overwhelmed is I start thanking. Lust can only exist in a place of selfishness. A place where everyone owes you something. When you realize how much you actually owe people and how you owe Hashem infinitely and He really owes you nothing, you can step out of the selfishness that drives the lust. At least that works for me.

As for the issue of society's warped sense of mortality, remember you are a son of Avraham Ha'Ivri. He is called that because he stood on one side (ever) in believing in Hashem and every other person in the world stood on the other side. He knew the truth and was willing to die for that truth even though every other person in the world thought he was crazy. That is our job too. The entire world may say that masturbation is healthy and that promiscuity is normal. But we know different. We know that truth and to hell with the rest of them.

Chizuk emails, foruming, taphsic method (although that was out the window for awhile), and brief conversations on the website chat... I have a good friend who is seeking proffessional help for this same area (i mean his life circumstances are so different from mine so there really isn't a comparison) but it makes me ask myself this kind of question, do I also need professional help. can i do this without it? I want to say yes!

Seems to me that this question is botherin' you, and although I do not know your entire history, it is likely that you need on some level to verbalize your issues to another....either on a phone call or conference, or to a mentor or a group or a professional or a mashgiach. I do see that you don't wanna, and that is understood, but you just might then remain with this burnin' question: Do i need to talk to someone?

either way....b'hatzlachah
