Glad to hear your doing well! There a lot of beautiful people in the world. It's easier for me to just accept that and accept that it's absurd for me to think of everyone of them as a potential thrill.
Much Hatzlacha!

k - so she is what she is and perhaps thinking about her as an object of lust is barking up the wrong tree - she has nothing to do with me - (perhaps its even arrogant to think so?)

Am I on the same track as you?

I think so. Does that help you, because that's what really matters. And yes it sounds like pretty arrogant behavior to me, thanks for pointing that out! It's also very self-serving when we blame the way someone else dresses for our behavior, isn't it? We are basically putting them down to lift ourselves up. So we are serving our own need to be holy, superior, accomplishes, whatever the egotistical need is by looking down on someone else. The fact is that they may be suffering just as bad and maybe worse then we are.

This may sound crazy, but I didn't event this. Maybe instead of thinking about lust when we see someone beautiful, we close our eyes and think about how fortunate we are to have been born into or grown into a life of Torah and even with that wonderful gift we are still struggling. Imagine that beautiful person, who has no Torah, or was turned off to Torah or never had Torah properly given over? What chance do they have. Lets pray for them.

Is this easy, no? But I'm going to try it. I'm not going to go out and look for a beautiful person, LOL, but if I find myself looking .....

Thanks and hatzlacha!

I enjoyed reading some of my old posts on this thread. Can't believe I such an am haretz just a few months ago? guess you live and learn especially on this forum.

I was upset today. I went to the bank and "that" teller was there.
This time the ATM machine was not enough and a live teller was necessary.
Well, having to look straight at an attractive teller - who is by no means following our laws of tznius - until the banking deal was over - can be challenging.

I should have done better than I did

Be thankful.
I frequent many banks, and I still haven't found an attractive teller.
And i never end up sittin' next to a woman on a plane either

I just realized that it's not the language you are having difficulty with but the deep meaning.

I have a good Yiddis tutor.

But now all silliness aside, what I said earlier:

Probably it is because God knows there is no way I could handle it.

Then one may not travel!

Falling is not an option and being in a situation where it's inevitable shouldn't be an option either.

So, what should be done about "life"?

So falling is a life?! I ask the same question, what should be done about life?

So first of all not flying isn't the same as not living (certainly not as much as falling) And second of all for some additional mony you pay for another ticket and take along a shomer. I was once on a flight and right next to me was a shicksa like you never, but on the other side of me was a 14 year old bachur (not travelling with me by my intention but by Hashem's). Guess what? She was trying to be friendly to me in ways you don't want to know, but that bachur made anything and everything totally impossible. He didn't know what kind of a zechus he had. He had no idea. So I was lucky that time. Maybe after seeing what almost happened, I have to take precautions and not rely on the kind of nais that I had that day.
