Was thinking about calling someone this morning, but I chickened out. The excuses I gave myself were:
a) Too early in the morning (Americans)
b) Long distance call (Canadians)
c) Still the middle of 1st seder (Israelis - 6 hour dif. this week)

but that is irrelevant since the excuses are just excuses and answereing them up will usually not make us any closer to taking the step

I have pushed off calling someone for months cuz its too early or late or i'm busy or maybe he's busy or...

Lately, one of the people I've been chatting with on gmail is "mgsbms."
He can't access GYE because of his filter (he only connected to me through a glitch, which has since been fixed).
He would appreciate for anyone who is interested to reach out to him, so he can stay out of isolation.
His email is: mgsbms@gmail.com

Most filters let you whitelist sites so you can just add GYE to the list.

Iboiyah lehu,

Is your sister in law nuts, and making you nuts through osmosis,
Or is she activating a hidden nuts inside of you,
Or are you really not going nuts, rather it's the rest of the world who are crazy, and since everyone else is nuts you feel as if you're the crazy one?
Or are you crazy, and she's making you feel normal?

The N"M are if calling a gye friend is making you normal again, or returning you to your default state of crazy.

(Just getting you back into learning mode for yarchei kallah)

That's the goal. The key to everything. Working on it, bs"d.

I understand what the oilam is sayin', but I'd like to put this in perspective, and I'd like us to back off from Big Moish.
I know many stories from fellows on this site, and I certainly know my own.
Which one of us is not crazy?
The extent we would go for our personal desire, obsession and fetish!
Now, there are professionals who state the claim that most of these passions are well within the realm of men expressin' their sexuality, but I will not go there.
Let us even say that we are wrong (as frum Jews) or extreme (on the planet), but ultimately, that is our obsession; that is our nisayon; this is our sickness!

Now, I am not pickin' on Inna for the term 'meshuga,' for that is really what it is...meshuga l'oso davar....but it is not so simple for Big Moish to remove his s.i.l. from his mind; it is not so simple for others to remove their fixation; and yes, it ain't so easy for me either! I have said goodbye several times already in the past three years, only to say hello once again. What's up with that? My fixation will be the in-depth topic of discussion by my next appointment with specialist, so perhaps that will become clearer.

In any event....fixation, obsession, fetish, etc. whatever da Hell it is...it is much easier to ignore when the battle cry simply is: Today! Damn it! Today!

The distinction between one who is addicted to something and one who just 'likes' the same thing, can perhaps be understood by the following episode:

A man walks into a shrink's office.
- Yes, what can I do for you?
- My wife sent me here.
- Why did she send you here?
- Because I like pancakes.
- Because you like pancakes? I also like pancakes.
- You also like pancakes?! Come to my house! I have a whole basement full of pancakes!!!

('Food' for thought.)
