I can't stress enough though, the importance of not getting "ungezetzed" over mistakes. Maybe it took me an extra quarter of a second to close my eyes. OK, go veiter. This is not about kedusha. This is about sanity.

IYH we should all be g'bentched with a year of hatzlocho & simcha.

It's been almost two years since I'm here and I slowly find myself becoming accustomed (in a good way) to living with out lust. Not that I am forgetting that I have an addiction but slowly learning how to live a life that is not either preoccupied with tried to satisfy my lust or trying to fight it.

I find that I have more time in my life for the people and things that are truly dear to me.

It's erev yom kippur and I cant really say that my experince over the past 39 days has been powerful.

On the other hand BH I am sober.

I remeber reading something Dov wrote somewhere along the the lines of that the first two years or so that he was sober were not very inspirational. His bren was kind of on a really low heat.

Perhaps we were simply substituting really working on ourselves with inspiration

(no big revelation ther)

Im sure it's different for everybody, but for me it's slowly starting to hit me that my preoccupation with getting sober has shifted my attention from my old (as one friend put it: fiery - in my words: a fan of some of the contemporary chasidishe darshanim) self.

Then again, all the talking with Hashem that I do hasn't exactly left me unconnected.

Me we all be zoiche to do a proper teshuva that will allow us to veiter down that path that Hashem would like to see us go.

I was just doing some legit work related research when a google search showed my that the document that I was looking for was on a Polish website... and it was excerpt that when I clicked download there was some sort or pop up that was an +18 warning in Polish, which was weird because was I was looking for was rated G. The warning didn't look tempting. It was the typical colors for these types of warnings. I was thinking, "what really could be so bad"?

But I didn't try to check
