I don’t know about you guys, but I find those few seconds of walking (especially on shabbos), when I see someone approaching and I don’t know at which point to wish them a “gut shabbos” exceedingly awkward. Like, I check my watch numerous times, even though I just did the exact same thing for the last guy… oysh.

It took me a few times reading this to get what you were referring to, but I know that experience exactly. I have done the watch move too!
