Why do the Chicago Bears and Cincinnati Reds have the same logo?

they both have a "C" with a wingback, the reds is centered, where as the Bears opening is slightly north of center.... that's not enough to really differentiate them, why? Why not have an original logo.

They aren't the same. The Bears' C is orange and the Reds' C is red.

And I think the Reds one is more "Red" and the Bears one is more orange.

the Bears use their C in blue and orange while the Reds primarily use it in red and white which limits some confusion.

the Bears C and the Reds C aint the same. similar, yes. the same, hell no, and it has nothing to do with coloration. the Bears C, as shown, is assymetrical much like Missouri's M used to be. the Reds' C, by contrast, is more symmetrical. basically, the difference is most apparent when, like in this thread, they're put side by side and you can see where the Bears C's gap aligns compared to that of the Reds C.

The Cincinnati Reds had their before the Chicago Bears created theirs. The Reds debuted their logo in the early 1900s while the Chicago Bears debuted their iconic wishbone C logo in the 1960s. The wishbone C is also the logo to several other sports organizations.
