How did the.gaurd aquire that period in middle of his name? What has a giraffe got to do with Zemiros Shabbos? why is asdf... so popular (asdf1234, sdf..) why isn't there qwer...? maybe someone can enlighten me?

Yes indeed. As Reb Hershel of Riminov explained: It says in "Zemiros Shabbos"

It should have said I will cleanse my heart ... as with soap.
But no. The message is that a truly cleansed heart becomes as soap, and goes on to cleanse others.
