I never thought that it was possible, but I have now reached 180+ days without resorting to porn or masturbation, which were my two problems and to which I remain susceptible if I don't watch myself. At a superficial level, I can say that my marital intimacy has really improved tremendously. The key is now uprooting the memories of what I read, saw and experienced, and which always tempt me to say that you enjoyed yourself, etc. The 20 step process , which I have been reading ,and the great chevra here, , and the daily chizuk emails. and the realization that I am not alone, have aided me tremendously, and are offering me immense Chizuk. This truly is a website that every Torah observant Jew who faces the issue of porn, masturbation or worse, must get involved with, regardless of his hashkafic orientation. Just one question-do member of GYE in the NY area ever meet for a kumsitz or melaveh malkeh?

Thanks! GYE simply is an amazing place-the chevra, the emails , the chizuk, and the realization that you are not alone, and that we are all striving and shteiging towards maximizing our potential is so important. The daily emails, and especially the stories,are incredibly inspiring. Without GYE, I can state Bli Safek, that I would be still be mired in masturbation, porn and the continuous need to feed my sex drive via inappropriate fantasies .
