It would be good to be able to vote for ones that are particularly bad also.

From my experience Yahoo and AOL are really bad, they both have ads with pictures on every page.

Gmail is very clean, no pics and very few ads.

I use gmail, but I also need a different email provider so that I can use multiple accounts at once without switching between usernames.

You're right.  We need to know which ones are particularly bad too.
For the time being, maybe people can post about them here like you did.  Shkoyach!

From what I keep on seeing when I log into gmail, Buzz is going away. I think they have something new called Google+, i really don't use that sort of thing so i'm not sure what's the difference.

I use mail.com as well as the others, and it is really bad as far as inappropriate ads etc.
So gmail or hotmail is good and safe.

I agree that AOL is bad.  I made my wife switch to gmail and she has never regretted it.

It is too obvious to say that Gmail is cleaner than Yahoo! which is full of the filth of the world. WebChaver recommend Gmail with MS Outlook or Mozilla Thunderbird where you can have a dozen Gmail accounts at once without any advertisements. If you cannot use Outlook/ Thunderbird you can still have 3 Gmail accounts open at once in the same browser. Here's a link https://mail.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=69570 PM me if you have any difficulty. Gmail also offer 2-step verification which makes your account much more secure from being hacked. Google+ wants to be like Facebook but it never will be and there's nothing there yet anyway so forget about it.

Google Chrome is the cleanest browser if you ask me (and Guard) followed by Mozilla Firefox, just make sure to get the AdBlock add-on for both of them. MS IE brings out the worst of the Internet a little too easily IMHO.

And get LastPass to generate and keep unbreakable passwords for all your sites.

I believe Gmail has very easily connection  buddy system , meaning they share so much to each other  and chat is so easy , it can get dangerous by connecting with Chats and and Pics.

All this is true, which is why you should use Outlook or Thunderbird.
Do you have anything else to offer in place of Gmail? Hotmail and Yahoo! both have chat as far as I know.

I now have yeshivanet. Before this, I had hotmail, and I discovered something really cool. I went to the settings in my hotmail account and set my country as Azerbaigan, or something like that. All of the advertisements and potentially triggering stuff seems to be specifically tailored to your location. Since there are no advertisers who care to reach 3rd world markets, your screen remains clean and free!! I'm assuming this would work with those other sites as well.
Try it!!

Reb Yid,

I can't vote because i only use hotmail and it sometimes has triggering adverts pop up. Other than that it seems pretty safe. Thanks reb yid for your eitsah!
