Hi everyone. Its great to find this site, and to discover how active and busy it is! Things look hopeful, although I know its gunna be a long road...
I am a regular bochur in yeshiva, who has struggled with these 'inyonim' for too long....
Almost to the point of giving up. Like I didn't care any more.
It has affected my learning and my social life all the way through yeshiva. And now I'm coming up close to shidduchim...I feel I have to do something now. Before its too late. Before I bring a girl into the already messed up situation.
Well there it is. I hope that I can finally find respite here and close the book of failing struggles and open a new one of life and winning!
Thanx guys and good luck for now

Hi,
I am in the same exact situation as you!
I've been reading articles on this website for a while let me just tell you that is something you have to take seriously because otherwise after a few improvements unfortunately you might think you are okay and rid of it.
Although i am saying that from my personal experience i think we all could learn from each other...
all the best!

ONE day at a time!!

Welcome to GYE! GYE suggests that you start with thew tools for beginners that you can find link s to below in my signature.

You write that you were "Almost to the point of giving up. Like I didn't care any more." Is not necessarily a bad thing. My personal experience is that I couldn't get recovery until I reached that point. I didn't care anymore from a religious perspective (at least I pretended not to care), although I cared that it was interfering with my life and I had totally given up getting better on my own. In short, I was desperate and with desperation came humility and willingness.

Anyway, glad you found us and I hope you find healing.
Much Hatzlacha!

Tzadikle,

You are very lucky that you have this opportunity at your age. Seventeen years ago when I was in your situation there was nothing. BH I found GYE a few years ago and have been able to get my life backtogether.

Hatzlocho!

WELCOME! You are fortunate to have GYE. I struggled well into marriage until my wife caught me and I found GYE. It's really not fun getting caught by the wife. Much better to deal with it now. Hatzlacha!
