I had a close call the other day. After all the stress that has building up in my life lately, I was slowly falling into the position of being out of control.
The other night i was catching up on some work in the office, and while there and not in the mood to actually get anything done, my mind started pulling me to sit around and watch youtube videos that would for sure be a quick ride to the abyss of acting out.
Thanks to all I have learnt by hanging out here, I recognized immediately that the urges were coming from feelings of stress and depression and frustration. While I couldn't really get myself together at the time, I immediately opened up GYe and spent the next couple of hours chatting with several people.
It really was a great way to keep myself busy, discuss what I am dealing with, and just chill out and think about nothing important (like old cartoons and movies of my youth) It really saved me from trouble. thank you to the guys that chatted with me that night. you know who you are.
Also instead of falling deeper into frustration and guilt, I was able to pick myself up and continue on. I am doing a lot better today as a result of pulling myself together over the last few days. thanks to everyone here for your help.
Baruch Hashem for the first time in many births, I am managing quite nicely despite the prolonged separation. While the birth has thrown me way out of whack in general, in terms of lust and looking at porn, I have been doing great. I have stayed on the wall of honor and am approaching 110 days. but whose counting? the main thing is today is doing great and I was misgaber on my latest nisayon.

So it's been over a month since the baby was born (and pidaini, I also don't feel much of a connection to him. I barely even get to hold him. Too much competition with the older kids. But it is nice to see him sleeping content with life. He IS pretty cuteSee here)
I haven't asked my wife about what her status is and how things are coming along. It is the first time in 8 kids. She did mention something to me about a week ago, but I didn't bring it up. (ALthough based on that conversation things seem a little strange to me)And I won't bring it up.
When things are ready to proceed they will. Hashem is in control. Baruch Hashem this is the first after birth time that I am not white-knuckling or falling. It is a really great feeling to keep on living and not be thinking about sex all the time.

Gee. Stupid youtube. how do they know that i would like such videos? why do they always have to recommend such racy videos? what the heck does videos of the israelis bombing out gaza have to do with such non tzneisdike women?
My assistant pointed out to me that the filter doesn't block out youtube from the israeli channel. chaval. i tried so many different ways,
