Here's the question, when can someone begin dating if he has this issue. I know I heard 6 months and I was all excited for that but now I'm down to three moths and I'm scared out of my wits I can't stay clean! I only have 3 months till I can't push it off anymore. I have had a few good stretches 3 weeks once and 10 days here and there, but when does one know when they are ready or able rather?

By no means am I an expert on this but personally I have chosen not to date, at least at the beginning. I want to see real improves before I am ready.

Good question. I will speak to my sponsor about it. I want to read the White Book first, which he recommend to me. I was thinking 90 days being clean but there are a few things I would like to see also- like improvements in my erections (I have PIED); would like to have less impulsive sexual thoughts; want to feel a yearning to be with someone rather than an yearning just to be sexual with someone.

I think those a good and achievable goals.

Good for u sounds like your a fighter! and don't worry god will take care of you if u show him u care, also remember starting to date doesn't mean getting married it means that ur starting to look, even if one gets engaged to the first girl its anyway usually a 6 month process so...

Well I have been looking and dating. But when I recently decided to give GYE another try I decided to stop dating. Getting healthy is my goal right now.

I am single and I know that if I date when I am acting out it really messes up my mind during the dating.

I would wait at least a month because otherwise you will be in a bad frame of mind (or lack of mind).

How long have u been struggling with this? And if u don't mind me asking is it with p*** or stam. I'm just asking cause I'm trying to find the case most similar to me so I can make a decision, a guy who waits a year after a mess up but a mess up is getting a pros****te then I b"h can't relate to that.

I am nearing 90 days now. While I don't know how long after you should begin dating I know that every single day that goes by since being clean I have a so much clearer head and a frame of mind. It's been amazing to feel like this. Perhaps as time goes by you'll feel more confident about yourself and what you think you can handle. Really it's all about keeping clean and the cleaner you are the more "cleaner" your thoughts can be!
