Baby steps are also steps.

As long as you are moving, you are not standing still.

Moreover, as long as you are progressing, you are not regressing!

So is that how it works?  the more posts the more points I get?  Very nice ! I only discovered this site a week ago and it has given me the strength to make a break away. Just like Yosef hazadik. I feel goood...! Great ...! Freeee...!

I just want to make one point that i learned from the Baal HaTanya.  The struggle we are all having is actually the normal state of being.  It is only Tzaddikim who dont have to fight the yetzer Horah on a day to day basis, and tzaddikim are very rare to find, 36 (lamed vav) here and there thats it.  People like King david who destroyed his YH as he said in theillim, 'Liby Chollal bekirbi' his heart was empty, yetzer horah gone completely.

Most of us however, must fight each day to stay on top. We are not statues we are alive and like a flame, never stop moving, up and down, and the 2 yetzers keep fighting to take control of our minds and hearts.  As the Tanya says, like two fighters trying to take control over a tower, the tower being ourselves as a whole body.  Its up to us who we let win the fight.

So never despair, we are normal when we struggle. The only problem is, we have fed our bad yetzer and starved the good yetzer. its time to reverse the situation.

Dovid Hamelech didn't get there for free either. He fought and fought and was zoche to a madreiga that few have reached.

I saw a pshat (maybe somewhere on this site) that when it says that when Dovid was old he was always cold, means that his Avodas Hashem got cold, bacause he had nothing left to fight for. So his advisors brought in Avishag Hashunamis, to wake up his Yetzer Hora....

Getting "points" for posting is not the "point" here. The idea is to share, learn, help, and be helped. The more you participate and help others, the more you will grow. I speak for myself too, everything I write I am really writing to myself.....

Welcome and KUTGW!!

I saw the same thing gevurah.  In or near a piece that Zemmy pointed out to me.  I thought it was a pretty wild pshat.  The sefer said that he would die without any battles, so they wanted him to have a battle if I remember correctly.  I think it was by the parsha of yefas toar in ki seitzei.

mazel tov. so how does it feel to find the real you?
Baby steps.
If the road is pulling you down, it's a sign that you are going uphill, so just press harder on the gas!

Have a great day - unless, of course, you made other plans.
