My thread at "introduce yourself" apparently became a bit too triggering and was moved to baalei batim. Anyhow, just wanted to let you guys know that Im still here, and still going strong. I dont have much time to hang around, but constant updating here is one of the things that keep me from falling.

Day 28! Feeling great!

Happy Sukkot everyone! Havent been here for a while, and I kinda miss you. On the other hand, I should be thankful that there's very little spare time.

My spiritual life has been soaring these last few days. Reading Torah, humming tehillim during the day... feels great!

I hit 37 days today, and doing great. Just a quick update, for accountability's sake. Three more days and I'll be at the Moshe-point. 40 days on Mount Sinai. And I feel that I just want more and more of haShem. I have revitalized my spiritual life, and I feel great.

Day 66. I have had some problems, but no falls. Once again we had a sick child and I stayed up all night. I have the non-filter filter. That is, it doesn't filter, but it highlights problematic web pages and sends a list of them to my wife. Lately they have been empty (although once it did react on a page with a shi'ur that mentioned a certain biblical word referring to a donkey - gave my wife a laugh).
Anyway I actually caught myself NOT looking away when inappropriate things came up in commercials etc, and from there I started to search things without actually searching for them. Sort of trying to get to the "oops, I stumbled upon this but didn't mean to" idea. Getting as close as possible to the pit without falling in.
Luckily I was unsuccessful, and it eventually waded away. As I went to sleep in the morning to catch a few hours of sleep I had a nightly emission. I guess my thoughts helped it build up or something. Anyway, I am so happy I didn't fall, and that G-d prevented me from succeeding.
Yesterday G-d sent me an even harder test which I was able to ride out. Wife gives me a book on medicine and doctors that is for kids and says "please throw it. I have looked through it, and it's just too much nudity in it for it to be appropriate". Guess what? I did throw it without looking in it!!

These dangerous pitfalls are scary. They prove to me that I could easily fall again at any moment. I can never let my guard down. Soon to reach 70!
