The halocho is crystal clear on the issues you have raised. I can now see why discussing these technical questions on an open forum is a bad idea. Trust me, these are questions that I have asked and received answers, but it's not for me to relay them to you. If you're sincere, you should politely ask your Rav.

To your original point: there is no doubt that watching porn and masturbating are ossur, as above. Hashem does not ask us of us anything that is impossible. Difficult, but not impossible.And He will help you if you let Him.

I'm still unclear where the chizzuk is in all this.
