A Sign from Above

by GYE Member (See all authors)

I had had an amazing episode I would like to share with you.

I had a big fall (again), and I was feeling terrible about life. Basically, I just had a baby boy born on Erev Succos, with Down syndrome and a few other complications, so it's been stressful, to say the least, which doesn't help with the constant battle we are all facing.

After my fall, I said the following words: "I'm such a loser; Hashem doesn't want me as one of His army." As I finished those words, I was walking down the street, when a voice from a balcony above me called out and said, "Oh, a yid! Please come up and join a minyan, you're the tenth person!"

Now if that's not a sign from Hashem, then what is???

On a similar note, seen on GYE chatroom:

Guardedyid: "You know, when you are about to fall and can’t because, let’s say, someone was in the office when you were ready to fall, that really is Hashem coming personally and helping you. It’s not a coincidence; it’s the closest relationship you are getting with Hashem."

LoTaturu: "Yes, the number of times Hashem has performed open miracles to save me is incredible. I’ll be about to fall and everything will happen at once. A roommate will walk into my dorm. My parents or a rebbe from yeshiva will give me a phone call, etc. It shows He’s really looking out for us. And cares."
