I know I know this thread has been dead since mid-May. But I feel this is the best place to post what I need to say.
Last night, Shabbos Parshas Lech Lecha I finally spilled the beans to my wife. Again I reiterate that I dont have porn issues so I felt it was safe, no, necessary to bring my wife on board. Lately shmiras einayim has become increasingly difficult and I felt that I needed to sock the YH big time. The only real stressor that still existed was the secrecy of it all. Add to that, the fact that some GYE chevra have been calling me, it was getting too difficult to hide. Not to mention the fact that many people are very big on telling the spouse.
Well....
She was really good about it, very supportive and unerstanding. She's great!
She was just upset / hurt that I suffered in silence for 20 years.
I tried to explain that I didnt have the keilim to deal with this earlier and only felt comfortable talking about it and admitting it after being on the forum for over 260 days.
Anyhow BH all is good. We talked alot and cleared up a bunch of garbage that has been getting in the way. All in all it was a good move.
I dont know if anyone ever noticed the text under my avatar used to say "Like a bridge troubled over water" (a play on words from an old song in my youth) expressing my troubled state that I was in. Now its changed to the real words, "Like a bridge over troubled water." expresing my feeling of being much stronger and solid in my growth.
Thanks again to GYE and all those who have given me support.

Nice to hear from you again!!
I am SOOOO happy to hear that you finally told your wife. It is not easy to do, but I found it to be so liberating it was wonderful. Isn't it amazing how great the wife can be? To forgive and move on and only regret not being able to help sooner? Not all wives can do that so guys like you and me must be very thankful to them, and of course to Hashem who gave us them. May this be the last step in a lasting recovery!!!

Made it thru a long trip away from home, with HASHEM by my side at all times. Coming home, feeling good! Of course it goes without saying that its due to GYE and the chevra, so Im not going to say that, although i just did. ???
