what's with the danishes?

there is a gevaldiger story about an old-time chassid
(i think it is brought in Slonimer sefarim, maybe EBD or someone can post the source)
there was a guy who in order to make parnassah had an illegal distillery in his house
one day a gov't official came to town and someone masser'ed on this chassid
the official came looking for this chassid
his wife managed to stall for some time before he came into the house to look around
she sent her husband to try and cover up the secret trapdoor to the distillery
he figured he will go quickly to shul and say some tehillim
he ran to shul and took out a tehillim
started saying kapitel after kapitel
he got up to kapitel 42, צמאה נפשי לאלקים
he got so caught up in the words
he totally forgot what was happening and just kept on saying and pouring his heart out
meanwhile back at home his wife was getting desperate
she had no clue what happened to her husband
out of ideas, she ran and dumped straw all over the floor, covering up the trap door
the official came in and started poking around
he got to the room with the trap door and started looking
then he said "if someone has a distillery the last thing they want in the room is straw as it ruins the ingredients, why am i wasting my time here?" and left
he was still in shul davening and talking to the RBSo

I cant eat them for medical reasons, but that isnt the issue.

Shabbos was great! Family simcha. lots of pressure and potential for major stress buttons pressed by certain family members.
HKBH cam thru in  a big way! It was unbelievable!

Thank you Eye, nice to meet you at Duvid Chaim's on Thursday night.
Its actually been 2 months since joining the forum (60 days tomorrow)
and it feels like a lifetime. in a good way!
I dont have the same feeling of hopelessness as i did when i started, and i feel that there is a gr8 group support here. That meeting was so mportant for me just to meet some of you guys and to be able to put some human faces to names. After a while on the forum you wonder who these people are, and start to look at everyone you meet wondering if theyre on the forum. It was nice really nice. I almost didnt come at all, thinking what if i meet someone i really know, what if someone figures out who i am. but the need to connect with human beings aside from thru the computer was so strong that I just had to come. No regrets.

I am so happy for you!!

Gesher, it was great to meet you on Thursday night. Meeting real live normal GYE people in Eye.nonymius's succah was a very important event for me and it made going to live SA meetings a non-daunting task. Now I have met many more of us and I love all y'all.

Im sorry I havent been around
just so busy with pesach and the family
havent really posted much lately
sort of lost the ta'am of posting
BH all is good
feeling very good about hitting the next level of the chart
ran into some severe trouble with the YH after putting the kitchen back together
its amazing that once you know what is pushing your buttons
you can just say I know why Im feeling the need to act out
its because there was alot of tension between the mrs and I
and that causes Resentment and stress etc...
I just said Im not going there
and BH I didnt

I also wanted to say that I got alot of chizuk from the wall of honor
all along I was thinking my gosh this is taking a long time
just 60 days?
then i was getting sort of down on the fact there are plenty of people who hit 90+ and then fell
I know I know too much thinking! (thanks Reb Yid)
so i peeked at the wall of honor for those passed 90
and it was so inspiring!!!!!
It really gave me a boost!
