i heard these words in a song recently and a thought hit me (lucky i was wearing my wool hat and ear-muffs)
the richuk of the pesha'im is lateral, rather than in altitude. meaning i am not on a level higher than them, just further away from them. but not any more worthy or failproof.

כגבה שמים על הארץ גבר חסדו על יראיו
the chesed of HKBH is way higher than me, i.e. it is beyond my merit, i don't deserve it at all.

yesterday when i got the mail i saw there was a lingerie catalog from a famous company. i hadn't requested one, it seems a relative of mine who lives abroad used my address, hence we got it. i kept it between the rest of the mail pieces and brought it inside - instead of just trashing it, because i wanted to stop the subscription and not keep receiving it regularly. i asked the wife to take the contraband and kindly call them and unsubscribe or just change the address to 859745 Dead Possum Compote Trail, which she did (G-d bless her).
