Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall,
Humpty Dumpty had a great fall.
All the king's horses and all the king's men
Couldn't put Humpty Dumpty back together again

It turns out that, though no one realized it, Humpty Dumpty's entire problem was that he was sitting up on top of a wall in the first place!!

Eggs have no business sitting on top of walls!!

We, apparently, are eggs. Easily cracked. Can't sit on walls, but are still not afraid of heights.

Bunch of poor sops.

Dearest Holy Brothers,

I want to share the following with all the holy warriors here on the forum. Recently I was reading the biography of General Eisenhower and was stuck by an amazing fact that can be applied to our struggle and give us tremendous chizuk.

in 1936 after 21 years of service Eisenhower was promoted (with his class) to the rank of -Lieutenant Colonel. At that time he confided to his son that expected to go no higher in the army.

What follows is the actual chronological list of his promotions

   *  March 11, 1941-Colonel

   * October 3, 1941-Brigadier General (1 Star)

   * March 28, 1942-Major General (2 Stars)

   * July 9, 1942-Lieutenant General (3 Stars)

   * February 11, 1943-General (4 Stars)

   * December 20, 1944-General of the Army (5 Stars)

you see my sweet beautiful friends, when there's a war going on, they give out the stars veeery very quickly.

The following is a quote from  General Eisenhower's Order of the Day prior to the D-Day Invasion

Your task will not be an easy one. Your enemy is well trained, well equipped and battle-hardened. He will fight savagely.........I have full confidence in your courage, devotion to duty and skill in battle. We will accept nothing less than full Victory!

.... And let us beseech the blessing of Almighty God upon this great and noble undertaking.

Fiery love to all

Good Shabbos

Noorah

Was that Noorah's last post? That is so sad...he was always so involved, giving encouragement...

Perhaps that's the biggest lesson. We may fall, and so many negative emotions go through us. We may not want to continue this journey. But that's exactly the time to reach out. To move forward. One day at a time doesn't just mean in the future...it means in the past as well. Right now, the only thing we're dealing with, is today.

Noorah updated the 90 day chart 11 days ago, so he's still doing well B"H.

Noorah, I'm glad your thread got bumped up, because I'm getting a lot of chizuk reading it. Perhaps you can send some of us newcomers, and old timers as well, an update about your life.
