OK, thanks.
Not being a mathematician, it still seems to me that if 90 days is 5%, you seem to be shooting for a life that only lasts 1800 days, which is about 5 years. Hmmmm...I always planned on living longer than that.
So again, I ask what you are trying to reach - and therefore, what do you mean by "starting"? How will you know when you get there? And what in the world will you do when you 'get' there.
"Easier time with this struggle"...hey, that sounds like a great goal. But Chaza"l seem to see it differently. They say b'hol yom yitzro shel odom misgaber olov, and the comment on that is that each day a person must therefore figure out and try new tools to resist and to stay clean.
It does not go away, nor is there evidence that it ever gets significantly easier. Apparently it is G-d's Will that it shouldn't go away and that people need to learn and grow in new ways to stay free of it.
And none of that is referring to addicts, of course. It's referring to normal Jews - as in the overwhelming majority of men who like looking at porn. It's just a normal yetzer hora.
Yes, when it is habitual, it's really bad - and when a person gets out of the habit by resisting for a few weeks, the entire preoccupation with schmutz does generally lessen. Milsa d'lo ramya al inish lav ada'atei, as the RMCh"L quotes from the gemorah somewhere.
But for real safe living, be"H, a person probably needs to maintain some sort of connection to whatever helped them get free of the obsession to begin with - not to turn his back on it for fear of "reminding himself about it," or some such goofiness.
May Hashem continue to guide you on a path of a lifetime of growth and progressive freedom from the tyranny of lust in your life, and may you keep a few strong, real, and personal connections with some of the fine people you meet here on GYE. Get to know some guys (at least two) by phone or in person. Get into a healthy routine that makes fantasy out of place in your life.
Hatzlocha!
