If I disconnect the cables, I won't have any internet until I reconnect them. Which I can do easily.

I'm looking for a free solution. My phone has a filter (Gentech) and it has no internet between 12am and 7am. 
I'm looking for something free, I don't want to spend any more on filters right now.
If there is a program that does itfor free, I can create a password that I won't know and put it somebody else's email address as the contact.

There is a couple of options for you. Some routers have such an option in their parental controls.
There is pluckeye which is free and can be set up to block all internet at certain hours. It is a little hard to setup.
Also check out qustodio.

I guess it truly was nothin', and does demonstrate to us how we shouldn't take things so seriously. Life is filled with stuff that can potentially piss us off.
