I had a thought,

The gemara in Sanhedrin says that the Torah is called "toshe'ah" for it is "mateshes kocho shel adam"

The name Torah comes beause it shows us the way that Hashem wants us to follow. That is the way we are supposed to sit down to learn, "I am now going to let go of my plans for life, and see what Hashem wants me to do". If a person does that then automatically the plans that a person made for himself which are "kocho shel adam" are deminished, and he can see what life Hashem wants.

My Rebbe says over a similar vort, that the Torah is mateshes the feeling of kochi v'otzem yadi. But your vort gives explanation as to how and why. Fabulous!

that was borderline triggering.

esrogs calling
to the water thats falling
wont you wash me clean?

esrogs been out in the sun too long
to long?
clean me please
make me shyne

like the water can,
like a watering can
remove the dirt
like in the mikva, a shirt

Ive been growing cold
in the winter months
clinginn to the tree
in the snow and the sleet

where is up?
what is up?
the juicy red apple is picked with care
the peaches with cream fill the autumn air

what am i?
to stay on the tree to rot?
cut loose
like a caboose

I saw the seasons pass and the groves where bare
i was so alone
all in despair

i numbed my feelings
didnt think about the frieling
i was scratched and hit
bit by bit

but my time has now come
to unify
you and i
with the spine moutheyes

wash me clean
with the sho eveva
ruach hakodesh
not the aveira

the heart is one
in the centre
I will come clean
it's my tyme to shyne
it's my tyme to shyne
it's my tyme to shyne

Re: Yaakov's Ladder 29 Aug 2013 11:37 #217716

i used to look back all the time saying "oh no! what have i done! Hashem help me erase the past." and i never heard a response.
finally i started looking forward saying "Hashem i'm leaving the past to you and i'm forgetting all about it. help me have a good future. help me from here and on be the person You want me to be." and that's where i realized Hashem had been waiting to help me all along

Had an interesting day yesterday, in the morning there was a lot of loneliness.

I went to Geulah in the afternoon, there are a lot of english accents there. so I took with an mp4 player and was listening to a shiur. As I was walking back a guy sticks his hand in my face, I looked up and it was a good friend of mine.

It was such a good feeling, a few weeks ago I would have noticed him (together with many more english accents) long before he noticed me.

The alone part was what most of us have always been doing to 'deal' with life. Sufferring alone. Nearly everyone I have ever talked with who has this problem admits they feel deeply alone at times, and their secret makes them alone in a (better-than-me) crowd, alone in (shameful) shul, alone at (lust-filled chasunas), alone in bed with their own (faithful-and-undersexed) wives.

It's alonely life indeed, being a secret perv. And as a frum one, it is even lonelier...

Thank G-d it does not have to stay that way!

Wow, I really felt that way!! I didn't notice it ever, but I could just never find my "place"! (and still have a hard time, but it's much easier)
