Yesterday I left my apartment for mincha. As I began the trudge up the hill, my mind wandered to my greatest dream [pst, if you need to walk somewhere, it's always a good idea to walk with someone else, it precludes a lot of nonsense that pops into your head while walking alone]: OPENING A YESHIVA. Of course, in my dreams, it's purely l'shem shamayim. But is it?
I suddenly realized that this entire "Dream" is driven purely by my subconscious craving for respect. That's all; Tanchum Zeesha wants some kavoid.
Suddenly, I noticed a pigeon trotting around with great authority, sort of like a peacock, outstretched neck and all. As I wondered what the pigeon was so proud of. I noticed a little girl pushing a stroller running down the hill. Her eyes were shining, freckles dancing, she was a picture of pure joy. And I thought:
When I become a Rosh Yeshiva, there's no way I'll be able to run down the hill like that...

Silly Pigeon. You could be flying.
