29. I used to think that just "brushing off the bad feelings and moving on after a fall" may be somewhat helpful to get back up, I now know that it's not nearly as helpful as when you share it with your mentor / GYE friend etc., face the guilty feelings, and hold yourself accountable for it.

{When you share it, you're being brutally honest with yourself and you care enough to get right back up, VS wen you just try to shove it under the rug, you can first "chap arein" a few more falls till you actually get back up... no-one knows anyways...}

I used to think I have a desire for women in general and certain body parts and s*x in particular, I now know I have an immense desire to the only godliness a human being can achieve through {not just accomplishing, but rather} "creating" future generations and love and happiness in his one and only soul mate.

Thanks Rabbi YY Jackobson for the deeper understanding of the true nature of the desire for s*x and what a human being is, - a "chelek elokei mimaal" - craving for his shleimus which can only come through "elokus" by creating something from nothing, not just accomplishing...

I used to think that as a bachur its not that bad to masturbate, since i have no outlet, and the when an urge would arise I would feed it. Now I know to let the urge pass, and not give in. Its obvs easier said then done, but its is pretty simple.
